Rev.Fr. Drici Richard Ben Passi , MIDM
Vicar General
Fr. Drici Richard Ben Passi was
born in 1963 in Moyo
District, North-western Uganda. He is a Ma’di by tribe, and a Member and the
current Vicar General of the Missionaries of
Jesus the Divine Master (MIDM) based in Arua Diocese, Uganda.
He was
ordained a priest in 1996 at Moyo Parish, and he holds a Bachelor of Sacred
Theology from the Pontifical Urbaniana University' Rome and a Bachelor of
Philosophy from the Pontifical Urbaniana University' Rome, as well as a
Diploma in Theological and Pastoral Studies from Kinyamasika National Major
Seminary, Fort Portal, and a Diploma in Philosophical and Religious Studies
from Katigondo National Major Seminary, Masaka.
Fr. Drici Richard Ben Passi has attended a series of Trainings and Workshops
in Canon Law on Consecrated Life, Leadership Skills and Management, Sacred
Liturgy, Doctrinal Teaching, Organizational Development, Guidance and
Counselling, Computer ICT in Education, Catholic Education, Catholic
Chaplaincy in Schools, LUMKO, Financial Management and Internal Control
Systems, Pastoral Care and Administration, Introduction to Computer ICT, New
Evangelization in the 21st Century, Deliverance School, Life in the Spirit
Seminar, and Church Leaders and their Public Role in the Church and Society
in the 21st Century: In the Areas of Justice, Peace, Human Rights,
Democratization, Good Governance and Integral Development.
Since his Ordination, Fr. Drici Richard Ben Passi has served in various
socio-pastoral capacities in Arua-Uganda and Kericho, Kenya, among them:
Parish Priest of Four Parishes (25 Years), Member of Bishop’s Consultors in
Kericho Diocese-Kenya (4 Years), Secondary School Chaplain (5 Years), MIDM
Representative to the ARU Arua Branch (3 Years), and Deanery Secretary (3
Years) and Acting Dean (1 Year)
While in the MIDM Institute, Fr. Drici Richard Ben Passi has served as the
Treasurer General (7 Years), Member of the General Council (11 Years),
Councillor-in-Charge of Finance and Health (10 Years), and currently the
Councillor-in-Charge of the Secretariat for Finance and Assets (1 Year).
