Fr. Anthony BONGOMIN, MIDM
Education Councillor
Fr. Anthony Bongomin is born in south Sudan but grew,
studied and live in Uganda and naturally a Ugandan of Acholi tribe. Is a
member of a religious institute of Missionary Institute of Jesus the Divine
Master (MIDM) based in Arua diocese, Arua City-Uganda. Ordained a priest in
2014 with MA in Theological and Religious studies from Makerere University,
BA in Theological and Pastoral Studies from Pontifical Urbaniana
University-Rome, BA in Social and Philosophical studies, Urbaniana
University-Rome.
Has a Post Graduate Diploma in Teacher Education from
Kyambogo University specialized in Professional Education Studies and
Religious Education, (PES/RE). Have also obtained Master degree in
educational Leadership and Management from the University of Kisubi and
currently serving as a chaplain in St. John Bosco Core PTC-Lodonga.
Fr. Anthony Bongomin has also obtained a certificate in Prevention of
Violent
Extremism through Education and all these are exercised in no contradiction
with the Priestly Ministry. Have attended series of workshops on Foundation
for Learning in building capacity in teaching profession with Aga Khan
University. Served in the capacity of coordinator of religious in the
diocese of Arua, later as the general secretary to the same.
While in MIDM, was first the treasurer general, later on a vocation
animator, councilor in
charge of vocation and formation and currently a councilor in charge of the
secretariat of education and training.
